Paul George provides update on leg injury via his podcast

Sixers forward Paul George provided an update on his hyperextended knee during the latest episode of Podcast P.

Paul George with an injury update

“It was a normal play, that I’ve made so many times” George said. “A guy dribbling across, I reach underneath, poke the ball free, and I guess my leg kind of got stuck. My knee locked up. My leg locked up. And when I went to go push off, all my momentum is going forward, and it just caused [my leg] to go inwards.

I’ll be back strong and better than ever. It wasn’t nothing major, or no concern to like, I didn’t damage a ligament, I didn’t damage a tendon, it was literally just bone on bone… I should be back hopefully sooner than later.”

The injury looked way worse than it turned out to be, which is great news for the Sixers, obviously. With Philly’s opening game just five days away, it seems unlikely that George will be ready by then. But hey, anything is possible.

I’m just thankful he’ll be back soon (hopefully).
