How Maxx Crosby can find his way to the Philadelphia Eagles by the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline
Our Philadelphia Eagles are building serious momentum over the last few weeks, looking more and more like a team that could make a deep playoff push. But with the NFL trade deadline coming up on November 5, adding an edge rusher might be the final piece to elevate them.
At 4-2, the Eagles have won their last two matchups without allowing a defensive touchdown—a big improvement after a 2-2 start. The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time, giving them a chance to regroup and reset. Now, this squad is looking like the team fans hoped for back in training camp.

The Eagles’ defense has a noticeable gap since parting ways with Haason Reddick, who brought serious pass-rushing ability with 27 sacks over the last two seasons. Enter Maxx Crosby—a player who could bring back that edge. Crosby has matched Reddick’s production, proving himself a consistent threat off the edge and already putting up 6.5 sacks this season. With that pace, he’s likely to notch 12.5 sacks for the third straight year. Adding Crosby could be exactly what Philly need’s to elevate their defense and make a deeper run this season.
I should note that, so far, there’s no buzz from either Philadelphia or Vegas about potential trade talks involving Maxx Crosby. Still, Crosby’s frustrations with Las Vegas’ rough 2-4 start this season have been pretty clear. While it’s purely speculation, could that open a window for the Eagles to make a bold move?
While it would clearly cost a premium as to trade for a player of this caliber, I think it’s absolutely worth it for the birds to sure up the most glaring need on their team. It’s time for Howie Roseman to truly go all-in on a Super Bowl push this season.
