All the numbers behind Jalen Hurts’ electric performance in the Eagles’ 37-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday
Jalen Hurts put on another clinic Sunday against the Bengals, and his historic rushing performance added even more milestones to an already impressive resume.
Since becoming the Eagles’ full-time starter in 2021, Hurts has established himself as the premier dual-threat QB in the league—and the numbers back it up.
Stat Check: Jalen Hurts Is Elite
- Jalen Hurts three rushing TDs against Cincy marked the third time he’s done so in a single game and the only QB to do it three times since 2021. Only nine QBs have done it in the NFL this century.
- Over the last three seasons, Hurts has scored 45 rushing touchdowns, more than any player in the NFL during that span—passing Derrick Henry, who has 44.
- With 48 career rushing touchdowns, Hurts now ranks third all-time among quarterbacks. He’s closing in on Josh Allen’s 56, while Cam Newton holds the top spot with 75 career rushing TDs.
- Hurts is now tied for the most three-rushing-TD games in Eagles history, joining Wilbert Montgomery and Hall of Famer Steve Van Buren, who also achieved it three times.
- Hurts has been efficient in the passing game, averaging 10.6, 8.1, and 11.8 yards per pass attempt, raising his season average to a career-high 8.1 YPA over the last 3 games.
- Hurts has the highest YPA for an Eagles QB since Nick Foles’ 9.1 YPA (2013).
- Only four Eagles QBs in the Super Bowl era have reached 8+ YPA over a full season: Hurts, Foles, Michael Vick (2010), and Donovan McNabb (2004, 2006).
- Hurts’ passer rating of 132.5 against the Bengals was the third-highest of his career. It’s one of only 18 times since 2000 that an Eagles QB has posted a 132+ rating with at least 20 pass attempts. McNabb accomplished it 10 times, while Nick Foles, Michael Vick, and even Gardner Minshew have managed it once each (via Stathead).
- Hurts also moved into third place on the Eagles’ all-time wins list with 30 career victories. Only McNabb (92), Ron Jaworski (69), and Randall Cunningham (63) have more wins in franchise history (via Stathead).
Hurts’ recent surge has not only been a response to early-season struggles—it’s been a reminder of why he’s considered one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the game. He’s been making plays with both his arm and legs, and his leadership has been key in getting the Eagles back on track with three straight wins.
In the month of October specifically, Jalen Hurts ranks among the best quarterbacks in the game not only this season, but his entire career.

Snap Counts: Philadelphia Eagles at Cincinnati Bengals >>
For all the early-season worries in Philly after losses to Atlanta and Tampa Bay, the Eagles are now hitting their stride and Hurts shaking off his turnover troubles is one of the key reasons why. The Eagles QB didn’t turn the ball over ONCE in the month of October, so it’s no secret as to why his team is also 3-0 during that span.
Hurts is the first Eagles QB to throw a 40-plus yard touchdown pass in three consecutive games since Carson Wentz did it in 2017. His 45-yard bomb to DeVonta Smith on Sunday was the longest of Hurts’ career, traveling 59.3 yards in the air, according to Next Gen Stats.

It was a statement win for a team that seems to be finding its rhythm on both sides of the ball. Saquon Barkley’s presence in the backfield is giving Hurts more room to operate, and the offensive line is opening up lanes that are paying big dividends.
The Eagles look like a team gaining momentum, with Hurts and Barkley leading the way. With a home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars up next, Philly has a chance to keep the good vibes rolling and further establish itself as a contender in the NFC.
