Eagles fans chant “Thank You Giants” during Saquon Barkley’s post-game interview

Saquon Barkley could not be denied against the Commanders, rushing for 146 yards and two touchdowns in a massive 28-18 win. After that performance, Eagles fans showed their new star running back some love during his postgame interview.

Eagles fans took it upon themselves to thank the New York Giants for handing us their best player in the last decade:

This is a true testament to how much Philly loves Saquon. The guy got paid and still plays hard until the final whistle. And, oh yeah, it helps he’s a top-two running back in football, too.

He’s made himself home in Philadelphia and is clearly completely bought into what the Eagles are doing. He’s ready to win, which was just never going to happen in New York.

It’s genuinely hilarious that the Giants let Barkley walk, and he not only came to Philadelphia but has produced like the superstar he’s always been. Giants fans genuinely brainwashed themselves into believing Saquon was washed.

I don’t know if it was pure delusion or a highly effective coping mechanism, but what I do know is that it’s embarrassing, and the Giants front office should be genuinely ashamed of themselves. Fortunately, Saquon is finally home and can leave that poverty franchise behind him and actually play meaningful football.

I cannot stress enough how important he is to the success of this football team. Many people saw him as a luxury signing, but you can never have too much talent in this league, especially when they’re at the top of their position.

He takes over games, and, at this point, the contract feels almost like an underpay. He might be one of the best free agent signings in franchise history when it’s all said and done.

It’d be foolish of me to gush over Saquon like this and not include his two touchdown runs below. So, without further ado, enjoy.

Sidenote: did anyone here that woman screaming like a lunatic throughout the interview? I’m all for showing a guy love, but that shriek was genuinely blood-curdling.

I’ve said the Linc is the closest thing America has to Arkham Asylum, and that definitely helps my case.
