Roster Moves: Eagles workout pass-rusher with Vic Fangio ties, claim former first-round pick off waivers
The Eagles continue to add pass-rushers following Brandon Graham’s season-ending injury.
Philadelphia has reportedly claimed veteran edge-rusher Charles Harris off waivers. PHLY’s Zach Berman was first to report the news.

Harris, a former first-round pick, played in nine games with the Panthers this season, recording 3.0 sacks, 16 pressures, and seven QB hits before his release.
Although the Eagles selected Derek Barnett, Harris was also a rumored target for them in the 2017 NFL Draft. Seven years later, Harris comes to Philly as a veteran pass-rusher who can contribute immediately.
Harris isn’t a great run defender, but his 11.5% pressure rate was highest on the Panthers. A solid addition, considering we’re almost in December.
The Eagles also worked out free-agent pass-rusher Malik Reed, per NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
Reed spent his first three seasons (2019-2021) in Denver under Vic Fangio, tallying 15.0 sacks and 30 QB hits during that span.
Reed hasn’t played much since his 2022 stint in Pittsburgh, but maybe Fangio work his magic and get something out of him.
We’ve got a safety in Detroit! 🙏 @Charles_AO1 #OnePride
