Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry highlight Eagles vs. Ravens Week 13 matchup
The 9-2 Eagles will face their biggest test of the season when they travel to Baltimore to face Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and the Ravens.
Baltimore comes into Week 13 leading the NFL in yards per game, and Derrick Henry is a big reason why.
While the Eagles boast the league’s top rushing offense with 193.4 yards per game led by Saquon Barkley, the Ravens aren’t far behind, sitting at No. 2 with 180.2 yards per game. Though their offensive schemes differ, both teams rely on exceptional ground attacks powered by dominant running backs and mobile quarterbacks.
In 2024, Barkley and Henry departed from the teams that originally drafted them to explore free agency. Barkley secured a three-year, $37.8 million deal with the Eagles, while Henry landed a two-year, $16 million contract with the Ravens.
So far, both players have proven to be valuable investments, as they are the only backs with 1,000 yards thus far into the season. This marks the only season in which two players have produced over 1,300 rushing yards and ten touchdown runs through Week 12.
This game will likely decide the Offensive Player of the Year race. Barkley leads the league in rushing with 1,392 yards, 67 more than Henry in one less game.
The Eagles are well aware of Baltimore’s top-ranked offense, just as Baltimore respects the Eagles’ third-ranked unit. This matchup will shine a spotlight on the ground game and how each defense rises to the challenge of stopping it.
