Makai Lemon realizing the Eagles traded up to draft him at 20 while on the phone with the Steelers is peak NFL Draft drama
USC receiver Makai Lemon is officially an Eagle after Howie Roseman traded up to 20th overall to steal him from the Steelers, continuing Philadelphia’s dominance over Pittsburgh this month. To add insult to injury, Lemon was already on the phone with the Steelers when he realized Howie Roseman was trying to get a hold of him.
Makai Lemon was ready to be a Steeler before going, “Why is Philly calling?”:

Needless to say, Howie Roseman epically cucked the Steelers with this pick. But in all honesty, they set themselves up for embarrassment.
Their front office rightly assumed Lemon would be there at 21 because the Cowboys were going to draft a defensive player. So, in an act of hubris, they called him early to let them know they were taking him.
What they neglected to realize was that Howie Roseman and the Eagles, in need of a receiver due to the AJ Brown saga, were lurking at pick 23. A few moments later, Philly jumped to 20 and stole Makai Lemon out from under them, leaving the entirety of the Steelers fanbase feeling exactly like this guy.
I fucking hate Philly. They ruin everything in my life right now. Just a terrible situation. https://t.co/252onIhRn9
