Trotter Time: Eagles DC Vic Fangio says Jeremiah Trotter Jr. will get playing time in Nakobe Dean’s absence

With Nakobe Dean sidelined for the remainder of the season, the Eagles have their work cut out for them at linebacker.

The common sentiment is that Oren Burks will fill in the rest of the way. According to Eagles DC Vic Fangio, it may be Jeremiah Trotter Jr. who gets the nod.

Fangio also added that they’re not afraid of putting Trotter in the game and that Zack Baun will now wear the green dot and be responsible for relaying the calls to the defense.

In Trot’s lone start of the season in Week 18, he was all over the field. He recorded 11 combined tackles. The week prior against Dallas, he notched himself half a sack as well.

The way I see it — the team will roll with Burks until they can’t anymore. Mixing in some Trotter packages when they can will keep LA guessing — just the way Fangio likes it.
