Inner Excellence sales are up 53 million percent following Eagles Wild Card game

There are probably few men happier than self-help author Jim Muprhy these days.

Eagles star WR A.J. Brown was seen reading Murphy’s “Inner Excellence” on the sidelines during Philadelphia’s Wild Card win over Green Bay, and that moment changed Murphy’s life forever.

Once the book went viral, Eagles fans everywhere sprinted online to buy it, resulting in Inner Excellence reaching No. 1 on Amazon’s best-sellers list overnight.

As of Tuesday afternoon, sales of the book have skyrocketed 53 million percent.

“This game is 90% mental and 10% physical for me,” Brown wrote on X. “I bring it to every game and I read it between each drive. I use it to refocus and lock in despite what may transpire in the game, good or bad. People tend to create controversy when they don’t know the truth.” 

Before Brown was caught reading the book on the sideline, it was ranked 523,497th on the best-sellers list.

“It’s been a pretty amazing night,” Murphy says when contacted Sunday after the game. “I’m sitting here in a hotel by myself. I was like, What’s with all these messages? And then I saw what happened and I’m like, Oh my God that’s crazy. Really neat.” 

“It’s really an honor to be a part of his life and to have a meaningful place in anyone’s life.” 

During an interview with NBC10 Philadelphia, Murphy stated he spent his life savings on creating the book and went into $90,000 of debt.

To have his work come full circle and be recognized by the most passionate football fanbase in the world is a heartwarming story.

“I’m super excited for the Eagles fans to get it and for people all around America to learn the same things that I’m working on, he’s working on.”
