The national media’s absurd anti-Jalen Hurts propaganda has officially gone too far
Even after defeating the Rams 28-22 in the Divisional Round, Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles are still being blatantly disrespected in the media. SportsCenter’s QB comparisons for the two Sunday matchups elevated Josh Allen, while literally hiding the Eagles QB’s long rushing TD in the first quarter.
This clear obfuscation of facts to downplay Jalen Hurts’ performance for the Eagles is nasty work by ESPN:
So this ain't propaganda? 💀 https://t.co/IJgKeEaE43 pic.twitter.com/MRfkiIga31

Here’s a quick reminder in case ESPN missed it. They have the yards tallied, but maybe they forgot to add the TD in their final calculations.
Lost in all of the incredible Saquon plays yesterday was this amazing Jalen Hurts TD

They said our guy can only score 1 yard TDs 🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/ByIfwGaX6A
Did Hurts have the best game of his career? No, not by a longshot. Do I think Josh Allen is a better player than Hurts? Yeah, I’d be insane not to.
But difference in the way the two are talked about after nearly identical performances is completely unjustified. The national media is gaslighting football fans in real time, and it has to stop.
I genuinely feel like I’m going insane. Allen, Hurts, and Mahomes all threw for under 200 yards with no turnovers, but only one man is brought into question for his performance.
Obviously it wasn’t a perfect game, but the media just willfully ignores two drops by AJ Brown, a Lane Johnson false start, and a dirty hit forcing DeVonta Smith to drop a deep ball when discussing his performance.
And it’s not just ESPN, of course. It’s every major media outlet. It’s hard not to feel like I’m losing my mind when I look at these two stat lines and see Josh Allen’s performance called flawless while Twitter morons tell Jalen to put the fries in the bag.
And it begins lol. https://t.co/FzQwK0EBv4
