Jalen Hurts Criticism

Jalen Hurts critics need to do us all a favor and stop talking

Jalen Hurts completed 15-of-20 passes for 128 yards, added 70 yards on the ground, and racked up a 44-yard touchdown run that was nothing short of poetry in motion.

Total yardage: 198. Result: another Eagles win. So naturally, the buzz today is about whether the Eagles can keep winning if Hurts has another so-called “bad passing performance.”

Are you kidding me?

Let’s set the record straight. The weather at The Linc was an absolute nightmare—snowing, freezing, and making the football feel like a brick. Catching or throwing under those conditions isn’t just hard; it’s borderline dumb to prioritize it.

The Eagles did what any smart team would: leaned into their strength, the run game. Hurts did what was needed, dominated with his legs, and the Eagles walked away with the W. Mission accomplished.

“Jalen Hurts Needs To Pass!” – No He Does Not.

But somehow, winning isn’t enough for Jalen Hurts…?

The media loves to nitpick every little thing about him. Meanwhile, let’s look at what the “golden boys” of the NFL did this weekend:

  • Josh Allen: 16-of-22, 127 yards, 2 rushing TDs.
  • Patrick Mahomes: 16-of-25, 177 yards, 1 TD.

Notice anything? No one’s tearing them apart for their “pedestrian” numbers. Allen gets a free pass even though he hasn’t won anything of consequence. Mahomes? Sure, he’s got rings, but does that mean every game of his gets an automatic stamp of approval?

Jalen Hurts’ Postgame: “It Comes Through Philly”

For some reason, Jalen Hurts isn’t allowed the same grace. It’s as if winning football games—despite the conditions or game plan—doesn’t count if you’re not throwing for 300 yards every Sunday. But here’s the reality: Hurts’ ability to adapt, whether through the air or on the ground, is why the Eagles are winning games.

At the end of the day, the Eagles are 6-1, and Hurts is leading the charge. The noise about his “bad performances” needs to stop. Winning is winning, and Hurts is doing just that. Maybe the media should try a new hobby, like knitting, because analyzing football clearly isn’t their thing.
