Jason Kelce Fake Autographs

Philly company busted for Jason Kelce fake autograph scheme raking over $200K in sales

When you’re Jason Kelce—a man who dominates the football field, podcasts, late-night TV, and our collective hearts—you’re bound to attract attention. Unfortunately, not all of it is good. Case in point: the alleged scheme to forge his autograph and rake in an eye-watering $200,000 in fraudulent sales.

Here’s What Happened:

Robert Capone, a 51-year-old Philadelphia resident, stands at the center of the storm, accused of operating the scam through his company, Overtime Promotions. Along with Rhode Island residents LeeAnn Branco (43) and Joseph Parenti (39), Capone allegedly sold over 1,100 fake Jason Kelce items, including jerseys, helmets, and photos.

What’s worse? They apparently went to a Kelce signing event at the Valley Forge Casino Hotel last June to make their scam look legit. Branco even took a picture with Kelce to use as “proof” that their forged goods were the real deal.

That’s like robbing a bank and posing with the vault for your Tinder profile.

How It All Went Down

According to officials, the trio pulled off their scheme with a combination of real and fake memorabilia. Capone snagged some authentically signed items at the event but kept other, unsigned goods off-site. Then, using Branco’s photo with Kelce and her connections to Beckett Authentication Services, they created fake certificates to “authenticate” the forged items.

The DA’s office claims that between Overtime Promotions and Diamond Legends (Parenti’s company), the crew sold more than $200,000 worth of fake merch to unsuspecting fans.

I know it’s Jason Kelce but $200,000 in Autograph Sales?

Let’s pause here. Paying that kind of cash for a man’s signature is wild, but it speaks to just how beloved Jason Kelce is. He’s everywhere right now—crushing podcasts, co-hosting Monday Night Football, and even venturing into late-night TV. He’s one of the most recognizable figures in sports and entertainment, so naturally, the demand for Kelce-signed memorabilia is through the roof.

Why This Hits Different

There’s something uniquely slimy about forging Jason Kelce’s signature. This isn’t just some random athlete we’re talking about. Kelce is the guy in Philly sports culture—an embodiment of everything we love about this city. He’s authentic, hardworking, and relatable. To exploit that trust for personal gain? That’s a whole new level of low.

Multple Felony Charges Incoming…

Capone, Branco, and Parenti now face multiple felony charges, and if convicted, they’ll likely have plenty of time to think about their poor life choices.

Meanwhile, the real Jason Kelce is out here living his best life, probably unaware that his autograph is worth more than most of us make in a year. If anything, this saga is just another reminder of Kelce’s unparalleled cultural impact.

As for the scammers? Well, I hope they enjoyed their 15 minutes of infamy because Philly doesn’t forget. Go Birds.
