Jalen Hurts hypocrisy

Hypocrisy: ‘Get Up’ hosts praise Josh Allen for ‘focusing on winning’ but don’t give Jalen Hurts the same treatment

No love for Jalen Hurts – Honestly, I am having a very difficult time wrapping my brain around the national media and how they talk about different quarterbacks across the NFL.

I wrote about it last week when Jalen Hurts was getting absolutely dragged through the mud for his passing numbers against the Los Angeles Rams in the snow-covered divisional round and now, I’m hearing these morons credit Josh Allen for focusing on “winning” and not “how it looks”.

What are we doing here?

Ryan Clark: “I believe he’s focused this entire year on the fact that it’s about winning. It’s not about how it looks, it’s not about the statistics, it’s about who’s the best team.”

Wild, right?

Just to confirm we’re all on the same page, here’s what Jalen Hurts said about “keeping the main thing, the main thing” and winning football games, regardless of the stats.

Jalen Hurts:

“I’ve submitted myself to whatever it takes to win. I don’t care how it looks. That’s kind of my game and that’s something that people have to accept, that it’s going to look how Jalen Hurts wants it to look, but he’s going to win.”

Unfortunately for Jalen Hurts, the media has done everything BUT accept that but apparently that stance only applies to him specifically.

Jalen Hurts critics need to do us all a favor and stop talking

Here’s what happened in the Divisional Round.

Jalen Hurts completed 15-of-20 passes for 128 yards, added 70 yards on the ground, and racked up a 44-yard touchdown run that was nothing short of poetry in motion.

Total yardage: 198. Result: another Eagles win. So naturally, the buzz today is about whether the Eagles can keep winning if Hurts has another so-called “bad passing performance.”

The weather at The Linc was an absolute nightmare—snowing, freezing, and making the football feel like a brick. Catching or throwing under those conditions isn’t just hard; it’s borderline dumb to prioritize it.

The Eagles did what any smart team would: leaned into their strength, the run game. Hurts did what was needed, dominated with his legs, and the Eagles walked away with the W. Mission accomplished.

“Jalen Hurts Needs To Pass!” – No He Does Not.

By the way, even Vegas has Saquon Barkley reaching historic rushing yard odds ahead of Sunday’s game against the Commanders. Washington’s defense can’t stop shit.

The media loves to nitpick every little thing about Jalen Hurts. Meanwhile, let’s look at what the “golden boys” of the NFL did this weekend:

  • Josh Allen: 16-of-22, 127 yards, 2 rushing TDs.
  • Patrick Mahomes: 16-of-25, 177 yards, 1 TD.

Notice anything? No one’s tearing them apart for their “pedestrian” numbers. Allen gets a free pass even though he hasn’t won anything of consequence. Mahomes? Sure, he’s got rings, but does that mean every game of his gets an automatic stamp of approval.

Commanders Take Aim at Jalen Hurts: Joe Whitt Jr.’s ‘tough guy talk’ was a complete misfire ahead of the NFC Championship Game

I will leave you with 3 questions…

  • Why the national media hates Jalen Hurts so much?
  • Why does anyone believe the Washington Commanders can win in South Philly?
  • Why is there a blatant Anti-Eagles agenda?
