WATCH: Paul George missed the memo, attempted to drive down Broad Street after Eagles punched tickets to the Super Bowl
PAUL GEORGE, WYD? – The vibes were immaculate in Philly on Sunday as the 76ers got a rare break in their hectic schedule and used it to support the hometown Eagles in their NFC Championship win.
After taking down the Chicago Bulls on Saturday to move to 17-27 and just one game back of the final play-in spot, the Sixers had a chance to enjoy a little downtime—and several members of the squad spent it rooting in the Birds against the Commanders in South Philly.

Unlike the 76ers, the Eagles did not disappoint on the NFL’s biggest stage. The Birds steamrolled the Commanders 55-23 in front of a sold out crowd at Lincoln Financial Field to punch their tickets to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Saquon Barkley was an absolute monster, and Jalen Hurts put together his best postseason performance yet, leading Philly to its second Super Bowl appearance in three years.

Among the Sixers in attendance was Philly’s own Kyle Lowry, a die-hard Eagles fan who was spotted soaking in the moment. Lowry’s love for the Eagles is no secret, and seeing him out supporting the Birds is just another reminder of how sports bring this city together.

Paul George must have missed the memo…lol
George was spotted driving down Broad Street after the game, seemingly unaware of the chaos that was about to unfold. What was he thinking? Did he not realize the Eagles were playing in the NFC Championship Game? Or that they just steamrolled Washington on their way to New Orleans? It’s a mystery.
If Paul George had parked the car and joined the celebration, he could have had his own Joel Embiid moment. Back in 2018, Embiid famously partied with fans on Broad Street after the Eagles clinched their first-ever Super Bowl appearance. That’s how you endear yourself to a city. George, on the other hand, missed a golden opportunity to soak in the Philly energy.

Here’s hoping someone gives Paul George the full rundown on Eagles culture before Feb. 9. If the Birds take care of business against the Chiefs, there’s no better place to be than Broad Street with the rest of Philly. Next time, Paul, just park the car and join the party.
