Cooper DeJean’s pick-six off Patrick Mahomes wasn’t just a momentum swing—it was the moment the Eagles put their stamp on Super Bowl LIX. So yeah, the biggest play of the game? No doubt about it.

Immortalized Once More: Eagles dominate Chiefs 40-22 to win Super Bowl LIX

It was 10-0, and the Chiefs were already wobbling when DeJean baited Mahomes into a throw, jumped the route, and sprinted 38 yards to the house. By the time he was celebrating in the end zone, the game was all but over.

The Eagles’ sideline erupted. The Chiefs’ body language screamed “oh no.” And the Superdome crowd? Absolutely electric.

Photos from Cooper DeJean’s Interception should be hung in the Art Museum

James Lang and Bill Streicher at IMAGN Images captured the moment perfectly.

✅ DeJean in full stride, ball tucked away
✅ Mahomes looking on, knowing exactly what just happened
✅ A sea of midnight green exploding in the background

This was DeJean’s signature moment, and it happened on his 22nd birthday. What a way to celebrate.

Eagles leave no doubt, destroy Chiefs Kingdom in Super Bowl LIX beatdown

Cooper DeJean’s Insane Rookie Season

What’s wild is that DeJean didn’t even start the year as a key piece in the defense. He was just a special teamer early on, getting his shot in the Cleveland game midseason.

Since then?

🔥 15-1 record as a starter (including playoffs)
🔥 Only loss came in that fluky Washington game when Hurts got concussed
🔥 First career interception in the Super Bowl—and it’s a pick-six on Mahomes

That’s not normal. The Eagles knew they had something special when they drafted him, but this? This is legendary stuff.

One of the Best Draft Picks in Franchise History?

It’s early, but DeJean’s already looking like one of Howie Roseman’s best draft steals. This isn’t just a rookie fitting in—this is a rookie changing games. The Eagles defense was already nasty. But with DeJean locking down his side of the field and making game-changing plays?

They’re terrifying.

Super Bowl LIX will be remembered for a lot of things, but Cooper DeJean’s pick-six is going straight into Eagles lore.

And something tells me it won’t be his last Super Bowl moment.
