WATCH: Former Eagles quarterback Rodney Peete casually robs Dodgers’ Max Muncy from making a catch in foul territory
Let me tell you, I did not expect to be writing about former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Rodney Peete casually robbing Max Muncy from making a catch in foul territory during the Dodgers and Cubs game in Tokyo, Japan but here we are.

Are you wondering what the hell is going on in that video? Trust me, I am too. In fact, I have more than a few questions about why Rodney Peete is even there, with his own baseball glove, wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers hoodie.
That video is a lot to unpack, but we should start with the fact that Rodney Peete is lucky he didn’t get slapped with an interference call. I don’t think he realized that Max Muncy was even attempting to make a play on the baseball and was too locked in to see him pull down the net.
The result was hilarious.
Max Muncy wasn’t happy. Rodney Peete thought he was king. The Dodgers fan behind him wasn’t thrilled with anything he just witnessed and the Japanese fan was just happy to be there.

Let’s not get sidetracked. Rodney Peete is from Mesa, Arizona.
At Sahuaro High in Tucson, Peete led his teams to state championships in basketball and baseball, and he was named Arizona High School Athlete of the Year as well as an Academic All-American.
He’s definitely a fan of baseball but at the same time, wearing a Dodgers hoodie is pretty disgusting, right?
Rodney Peete was drafted by the Detroit Lions (gross) and then played for the Dallas Cowboys (even worse) before spending three years on the Philadelphia Eagles (Go Birds) and bopping around the NFL with stops on the Redskins, Raiders, and Panthers before calling it a career.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, Rodney? Good luck explaining that one. I can’t find anything that links Peete to California outside of the Raiders and I definitely don’t like him wearing Dodgers gear. It’s almost as bad as being a former professional athlete and a grown man that brings his own baseball glove to an MLB game.
Sure, he made a sick catch and was really proud of himself but next time, raw dog it like a real man bro. Adults, let alone a former professional athlete and All-American, maybe just let your hands do the work and catch a foul ball.
You don’t want to be looped in with that scumbag Zack Hample on any level and bringing your own glove to catch foul balls and possible interfering with the play is as close as it gets.
By the way, does Rodney Peete not having any street cred? I know the game is being played in Tokyo but is he paying general admission to watch the Dodgers and Cubs play overseas?
I would have assumed he had a little more “pull” than that, right?
Anyways, just a bizarre video in general. Let’s hope the MLB doesn’t turn it into one of those completely unnecessary 4D replays like we witnessed earlier in the week.
Nobody asked the MLB for 4D Replays, yet here we are
