Brutal photo shows just how badly the 0-6 Atlanta Braves are struggling

Heading into Opening Day, I made it crystal clear that if you were going to bet the house on the Phillies to win the NL East, that was the time to do it. DraftKings had them at +210. FanDuel had ‘em even shorter at +190.

Fast-forward a week, and the Atlanta Braves are officially the last winless team in Major League Baseball. 0-6. Swept by the Padres, handled by the Dodgers, and flatlining in real time.

Their latest loss was a 3-1 snoozefest in Los Angeles where the bats went missing again.

This isn’t just a bad week. This is historic futility. It’s the sixth time since 1901 the Braves have started 0-6. It’s happened four times since the franchise moved to Atlanta in 1966 and none of those seasons turned out to be anything even close to a postseason team.

No Braves team that started 0-6 has ever made the playoffs. And if you’re thinking “maybe this time is different,” well — only three teams in MLB history have ever reached the postseason after such a start.

The most recent? The 2011 Rays. So yes, it’s technically possible… but good luck with that. If the Braves lose tonight to the Dodgers again, it’s also important to remember that a total of 29 MLB teams have started 0-7 all-time, and none made the playoffs and only two of them even finished above .500.

Not a single regular starter above the Mendoza Line on a team full of MVP hopefuls and All-Star names suddenly swinging like pitchers were still coming to the plate in the National League.
