Eagles Mock Draft: PFF predicts trade-up to snag standout Boston College pass rusher
The NFL Draft is just weeks away and the anticipation across Eagles nation is growing every day.
We’ve already covered a ton of mock drafts, but very few of them have predicted an Eagles trade — even though guys like Adam Schefter have guaranteed movement from Howie Roseman’s team.
This latest mock from ProFootballFocus is the first we’ve seen with a substantial trade-up. PFF sees the Birds moving up to 24th overall to snag Boston College pass rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku.
PFF on the Eagles draft strategy here:
Trade terms: Eagles receive Pick No. 24; Vikings receive Pick Nos. 32, 96 and 161
After losing several defensive linemen in free agency, general manager Howie Roseman gets aggressive to move up ahead of the pack and replenish the Eagles’ front with a highly productive edge rusher in Ezeiruaku. The Boston College standout charted well in both pass-rush win rate (18.2%) and run-stop rate (10.1%) last season, making him an ideal option to become the next great edge rusher to wear the Kelly Green.

The Eagles have hosted Donovan Ezeiruaku on a pre-draft visit, so the interest is certainly there.
Ezeiruaku’s blend of technical polish and relentless energy makes him an intriguing potential addition to Philadelphia’s defensive front. He brings a well-developed pass-rush toolkit and the kind of motor that never quits — traits that align perfectly with what the Birds value in their trench warfare.
His versatility allows him to line up in multiple spots, offering defensive coordinator Vic Fangio flexibility in how he’s deployed. While he may begin his NFL journey as a rotational piece, Ezeiruaku has the upside and skillset to grow into a legitimate long-term starter.
If the Eagles are looking to invest in a high-upside edge rusher who can contribute early and develop into a foundational piece, it’s easy to see why they’d be willing to move up the board to get him.
