Matt Strahm leans into Nicholas Cage comparisons with new Declaration of Independence glove
Phillies reliever and Nicholas Cage lookalike Matt Strahm unveiled his new glove today, and fans are loving it. The custom glove leans into those comparisons, featuring one of the most important documents in Cage’s filmography (and American history): the Declaration of Independence.

The comparison surfaced last season; quite frankly, it was spot on. There are few things I hate more than poor lookalike comparisons, so this was a welcome one to both me and Phillies fans everywhere.
Plus, I think this glove not only looks great, but will be an advantage on the mound. I can already imagine a big league hitter getting so lost in the powerful words of the Declaration of Independence that he doesn’t even take the bat off his shoulder.
