You know it’s officially NFL Draft season when the biggest story isn’t the quarterback getting picked—it’s his ridiculously attractive girlfriend, his sister, and even his beast of a dog stealing all the shine. Welcome to the big leagues, Tyler Shough.

The New Orleans Saints and most notably our former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore decided to roll the dice at No. 40 overall and grab Tyler Shough, the longtime college football wanderer who’s basically played for every Power Five team under the sun. Oregon. Texas Tech. Louisville. Guy’s college resume looks like a damn road trip across America.

And look—I’m not saying Shough can’t ball. He had a solid final year at Louisville, tossing for over 3,100 yards and 23 touchdowns while leading them to a respectable 9-4 season. Good for him. But let’s not act like it’s not wild he got taken ahead of Shedeur Sanders, who was a projected first round draft pick.

Now, onto the real story. Sitting right next to Tyler on draft night was his absolute smoke show of a wife, Jordan Shough. Former Oregon soccer player. Certified star. Honestly, if you told me the Saints drafted Tyler just to get Jordan down to New Orleans, I wouldn’t even argue.

Jordan’s been riding with Tyler through all his college pit stops, and after getting married in April 2024, they’re basically a power couple now right? She had that whole “proud wife who knows she’s killing it” energy during the draft party, and honestly, who can blame her? She was trending on Twitter faster than Tyler was getting congratulatory calls.

Gotta Respect it: The Whole Shough Family Was Ready for Their Moment

Right behind Tyler on the couch was his sister, bringing good vibes and celebrating like she just got drafted herself. And just when you thought the Shough family hype couldn’t get any stronger, in comes the family dog—absolutely losing its mind mid-celebration. Talk about a good boy?

You gotta respect it. Everyone’s celebrating, the dog’s jumping around like it’s about to hit Bourbon Street, and Tyler’s just trying to process the fact that he’s officially an NFL quarterback. It was pure chaos, but in the best way possible. Now, we just need to get a vlog of the Shough family’s celebration down Bourbon Street following the draft.

I can already see it now, the dog sporting one of those Mardi Gras bead necklaces as the Shough family is absolutely obliterated. It’s going to happen, it happens to the best of us. We here at TheLibertyLine were down there during the Eagles vs. Saints Week 3 matchup this past season.

Tyler Shough might not have been the quarterback everyone expected to hear called early on Day 2—especially with Shedeur Sanders still chilling in the green room—but you can’t deny he made a hell of an entrance.

Whether or not he becomes the Saints’ next franchise guy is still up in the air. But between his game, his wife Jordan, a fired-up sister, and a dog that’s ready to run through a wall for him, Tyler Shough is already winning off the field.
