Report: Eagles exercise $12.9M fifth-year option for Jordan Davis
According to Fox Sports insider Jordan Schultz, the Philadelphia Eagles are exercising Jordan Davis’ fifth-year option for 2026, locking him in at $12.9 million in 2026.
Eagles pull the trigger on Davis’ fifth-year option
Philly had until May 1 to make a decision on Davis, and now it’s clear they see him as a long-term piece for their defensive line.
The former first-round pick has started every game over the last two seasons, racking up a combine 3.5 sacks and 90 total tackles. Davis has never been an elite pass rusher, and honestly, he’ll probably never become one. But that’s fine — the Birds have a ton of pass rusher along their interior line. Jalen Carter is already one of the best defensive tackles in the league, and Moro Ojomo and Ty Robinson are polished pass rushers.
They need a big body who can clog up running lanes and take on double teams. That’s exactly what Davis has done and will continue to do for Vic Fangio’s defense.
