Howie Roseman expertly dodges question about drafting Shedeur Sanders
Eagles GM and God Among Men Howie Roseman went on the Rich Eisen Show to discuss the NFL Draft this week and deftly avoided a trap set by his esteemed host. Eisen asked Roseman if he planned on drafting Shedeur Sanders in the 5th round before the Browns moved up to get him, but probably didn’t get the juicy answer he was looking for.
Howie Roseman (aka The Mentalist) refused to take the bait and ignite any Shedeur Sanders speculation:
Howie simply refused to slip up. He knows how the media works, and if he even remotely hinted that he was interested in Shedeur, the aggregators would have had a field day with it.
I know for a fact we would’ve gotten a blog up on it if he did, too. Fortunately, even a non-answer from Howie is compelling content, so here I am doing my sworn duty to serve the Content Gods.
It really is a phenomenal non-answer, though. He sounds like a guy when his girlfriend asks how many drinks and cigarettes he had on the golf course. No chance he’s even remotely opening that can of worms and creating an ounce of conflict.
Howie’s been on a heater for a few years now, and this is just one more example of that.
