Report: Eagles Tush Push likely to be banned when voted on next week

The day all the haters and losers have been waiting for is almost here — reportedly. The Eagles’ now-infamous Tush Push is expected to be banned when NFL owners vote on it next week.

That’s according to insider Adam Schefter, who broke the news during an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic’s morning show.

Eagles Tush Push on the brink of getting banned and it makes me sick

According to the Washington Post’s Mark Maske, the proposed rule change would ban any offensive player from pushing a ball carrier forward. While that technically impacts more than just the Tush Push, let’s be honest — this is all about stopping the Eagles. NFL owners are so terrified of Philly’s dominance, they’re willing to rewrite the rules entirely.

Fortunately, the Eagles are already a step ahead. During a recent interview on 94WIP, Jeffrey Lurie hinted that the team plans to revive the fullback position next season. Even better? Third-round pick Ty Robinson has experience there. Nebraska used him in a goal-line package during his college days, and the big man delivered. Don’t be surprised if the Birds roll out something similar in 2025.

At the end of the day, it’s still pathetic that the NFL is trying to ban this play. It makes me sick — but what can you do? These pansies would rather rewrite the rulebook than put in the work to stop something that’s been deemed unstoppable. There’s zero competitive fire left in this league. Honestly, that just makes me feel even better about the Eagles’ chances at a repeat next season.

While the rest of the NFL curls up in the fetal position inside their safe spaces, the Eagles are busy bringing smashmouth football back from the dead.
