What nobody is saying about the Caitlin Clark “flagrant foul” on Angel Reese on WNBA opening day
Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese is one of the most one-sided rivalries I have ever seen in my life. The only reason it has any steam whatsoever is due to all of the Reese supporters and people jealous of Clark. Therefore, it’s rarely ever about the actual basketball itself and more so and drama that can be created and blown out of proportion.
Before we dive into the Indiana Fever dominating the Chicago Sky on WNBA opening day, let’s just make something crystal clear. Caitlin Clark is far and away the better basketball player. If that offends you, then you are part of the problem here.
Now, let’s adjust the “flagrant foul” called against Caitlin Clark
@stevenconradjr HERE’S WHY CAITLIN CLARK HATERS ARE THE MOST BRAINDEAD PEOPLE IN SPORTS… ⬇️

That was not a flagrant foul. It wasn’t dirty. It wasn’t excessive. It was just basketball. But somehow, because Caitlin Clark is involved, people lose their minds. The same people who literally applauded the WWE-level takedowns she endured all last season are now crying about a routine foul like it’s a war crime.
Immediately following the routine foul, Caitlin walked away as soon as she sensed Angel Reese charging her because we all know Reese was about to do everything in her power to make a scene, rather than just play basketball (shocker).

“It's just a good take foul. Either Angel gets wide open 2 points or we send them to the free throw line. Nothing malicious about it…EVERY BASKETBALL PLAYER LNOWS THAT”

Now that that’s addressed it is worth noting that Reese cleared the air on this situation as well following the game and instead of adding more smoke to the fire she lit here, she simply shut it down. Which is a smart move.
Clark Dominates, Reese Still Has Work to Do
Caitlin Clark just started her rookie campaign with a damn triple-double: 20 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 4 blocks, while leading the Fever to a 93–58 beatdown of the Sky. MVP-level stuff already.
Angel Reese? She grabbed 17 rebounds — sure, that’s impressive — but she also shot 5-for-14 from the floor, turned it over five times, and finished with just 12 points. Credit to her for adding a little to her game, but let’s not kid ourselves here.
