Bryce Harper takes Spencer Strider fastball to the elbow, exits game in 1st inning
The Phillies-Braves series started in ugly fashion on Tuesday night, seeing Bryce Harper wear a four-seam fastball courtesy of known coward Spencer Strider. The incident occurred in the first inning of the game, and Harper quickly departed to get checked out.
Bryce Harper went straight to the dugout after taking the 96mph pitch to the elbow:

But don’t fret too much, Phillies fans. Harper immediately had his elbow x-rayed, and the results came back negative, so a lengthy absence is highly unlikely.
Regardless, this doesn’t help Strider’s case here in Philadelphia, he’s already heavily disliked and heckled constantly whenever he comes to town.
If anything, this is further proof the Spencer Strider is scared shitless of playing in Philadelphia after being dismantled in the NLDS back in 2022. I mean, look at this clip of him saying fans shouldn’t be allowed in the stadiums.
So the guy who just threw at Bryce Harper thinks fans shouldn’t be in the stands. Maybe let him hear it. pic.twitter.com/wqM3NQwUXJ

All Strider knows is the coward’s way. It’s right there in crisp digital video.
I’m not saying he threw at Harper intentionally, but it’s hard to keep command of your fastball when you’re pissing down your leg scared some Philly scumbag is going to say mean things to you 🙁
Fortunately, Harper is likely going to be just fine. I don’t know who is luckier, though, the Phillies or Strider.
On one hand, the Phillies need their talisman to keep competing for a title. On the other hand, however, Strider’s chances of leaving the city alive have greatly improved.
