Eagles Jalen Ramsey

Eagles adding star CB would be a ‘no-brainer,’ says CBS Sports

Eagles might be on the verge of making another splash if the latest CBS Sports report has any weight. Brad Crawford called it a “no-brainer” for the Eagles to go after Miami Dolphins star Jalen Ramsey. And honestly, it’s hard to argue.

We all know Howie Roseman isn’t shy about pulling the trigger when the moment calls for it. Just look at last year when he went out and snagged Jahan Dotson late to add depth to the receiver room. With June 1st cap relief coming up, there’s real ammo to get something done.

Would Ramsey fit into the Eagles CB room?

The Eagles’ cornerback room is already solid. Quinyon Mitchell and Kelee Ringo are projected starters, and they moved off C.J. Gardner-Johnson in a trade to Houston. Drafting Andrew Mukuba was part of the plan there. But let’s be real – you don’t pass up on a chance to add a seven-time Pro Bowler if the numbers work out.

Odds are it doesn’t happen. The Eagles have one of the best secondaries in the league, and Ramsey’s fit would require some maneuvering. Still, in an offseason that’s already seen some surprising moves, it wouldn’t be out of character for this front office to take a swing.
