WATCH: Saquon Barkley defies physics in Madden cover shoot, recreates hurdle and literally floats over Jaguars DB
Some people shy away from their viral moments. Others? They lean right in, smile for the camera, and say, “Let’s run it back.” That’s exactly what Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones just did—by voluntarily signing up to re-enact the moment he got literally hurdled by Saquon Barkley for the cover of Madden 26.
Yes, the now-legendary backwards hurdle. Saquon defied physics, logic, and probably Madden’s own programming by going up and over Jones in reverse like he was playing with cheat codes. And now, it’s immortalized on the cover… with Jones in it too.

Let’s talk about the actual video for a second. If you watch it closely—and I mean frame-by-frame—you’d swear Saquon literally pauses in mid-air. Like, there’s a full half-second where he’s just floating above Jarrian Jones like he’s SpiderMan or something.

I can’t be the only one seeing this. It’s like time freezes. The man’s running backwards, hurdles a fully grown NFL athlete, hangs in the air like he hit the “jump” button on a PlayStation controller, and then lands it like it’s nothing. Saquon Barkley simply isn’t human. I don’t know if Madden added extra frames to make it look smoother or if Saquon actually broke the laws of physics, but either way—insane.
If You’re Gonna Get Hurdled, Get Famous
This is one of those rare moments in sports where everyone kind of wins. Saquon gets his flowers (and a cover) after putting up highlight-reel plays in his first year as an Eagle. Jarrian Jones gets to laugh at himself, be part of a viral Madden moment, and show that he’s a great sport.
And Eagles fans? We get to sit back, enjoy the content, and brag that our new running back is literally on the cover of the game doing something that’s never been done before. Which by the way, it still doesn’t even feel real that the Eagles have Saquon Barkley.

you dope, you can literally tell he has strings holding him up.
