Phillies fan hit in face by Max Kepler home run gives injury update
If you’re like me and have been worried about the Phillies fan that took a Max Kepler home run to the noggin, worry no more. A family friend posted an update on TikTok and, while she’s still pretty banged up, she’s on the road to recovery.
Unlucky Phillies fan Gayle is mostly okay but is definitely still on the mend:

First of all, thank goodness Gayle isn’t more seriously injured. Sure, both your eyes being swollen isn’t great, but avoiding anything but a short stint in concussion protocol is a win in my book.
Gayle has really taken a good attitude in all of this. Saying “it’s not his fault he’s hitting dingers into the stands” shows that this woman is a Phillies fan first and foremost. Plus, she gets a hell of a story out of the whole ordeal as well.
Of course, there are villains of the story referenced in the TikTok. Those two rat boys decided it was a cool move to hang onto a baseball that hit a sweet lady square in the face instead of giving it to her.
It’s not the most evil thing a person can do, but it’s absolutely antisocial behavior and I simply won’t stand for it.
