Caitlin Clark’s classy response to dirty play question’s while Fever coach Stephanie White torches WNBA refs
The Indiana Fever are rolling. Caitlin Clark is back. And the WNBA’s officials still have no clue what they’re doing.
Caitlin Clark and the Fever improved to 2-0 since her return from injury with a dominant 88–71 beatdown of the Connecticut Sun Tuesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. And while the scoreboard was lopsided, the action on the court is what garnered all these headlines.
Midway through the third quarter, Clark was whacked in the face by Sun guard Jacy Sheldon. Nothing new—just another “accidental” hit that somehow always seems to find Caitlin Clark. Then Marina Mabrey lost her damn mind, rushing in and body checking Caitlin Clark to the ground.
So what does the WNBA do?
Imagine not kicking Marina Mabrey out after she assaults the face of the league? Just a common tech? Sick league @WNBA Also shouldn’t have been a tech on Caitlin since that girl got in her face after gouging her eyes. pic.twitter.com/bnqKCt9voO

Somehow Caitlin Clark—who didn’t instigate any of it—is deemed with a tech? Absolute joke of a league.
Stephanie White Puts the League on Blast
After the game, during the postgame presser, a reporter asked Clark if she was given an explanation for her technical.
Before Clark could even open her mouth, Fever head coach Stephanie White stepped in and shut it down.
“I’ll take the (WNBA) official questions,” White said. “There wasn’t an explanation for the technical she got. I think it was pretty obvious that stuff was brewing…”
While White was giving her answer, Clark just sat there, staring off to the side, shaking her head. She’s tired of this garbage. We all are.
And White didn’t stop there.

Boom. Bar for bar. Coach of the Year if we’re being honest. Take that to the bank.
Caitlin Clark Stays Classy While the Rest of the League Melts Down
Despite getting body-checked all game, Clark kept it real with the media afterward. When asked if she feels like she has to defend herself more:
“do you feel like you have to stand up more for yourself?”

caitlin: “at the end of the day i’m here to play basketball and that’s what i’m gonna do—my game’s gonna talk and that’s all that really matters. i love this game and i’m gonna give it everything i have.” pic.twitter.com/6GAxkmEQHu
As another reporter tried digging for more headlines about the dirty play, Caitlin Clark had enough.
“You guys came for basketball. Let’s talk about basketball. Come on now.”
And when the reporter kept pressing?
“We’re going to the Commissioner’s Cup Championship.”
Stephanie White: “LET’S GO!”
That’s how it’s done. Winners handle business on the court. Everyone else is just clout-chasing for a tweet.

The WNBA must protect Caitlin Clark at all costs
I don’t know how Caitlin keeps doing it. Every week it’s the same story—hard fouls, no protection, and cheap shots from players trying to make their name by fouling the face of the league.
And every week, she handles it with more class than I’d ever be capable of; and I’m a very class guy. She doesn’t stoop to their level. She just wins. And now she’s heading to the Commissioner’s Cup Championship while the haters get sent packing.
Marina Mabrey, Jacy Sheldon, Angel Reese—take notes. You want the spotlight? Earn it on the court, not with cheap fouls and TikTok beef.
This league is only standing because Caitlin Clark is holding it up right now. Maybe it’s time everyone in the W figured that out.
