Nick Castellanos makes statement with game-ending catch after controversial benching

Nick Castellanos made headlines after his controversial benching that ended his iron man streak. He was none too happy with Rob Thomson pulling him for a defensive replacement the other night, and made sure to add some flair to the end of tonight’s win against the Marlins.

In all seriousness, though, hell yeah, Casty. Of course, we don’t know what was said that led to his benching, but I personally wasn’t a fan of it.

Nick responded with two hits tonight, scoring a run, and a game-saving catch into the wall to close out the game. That’s one heck of a statement.

There’s a chance I’d change my tune if I heard what was said. But instead, I’m just going to focus on the win and Casty coming back with a renewed fire.
