WATCH: Phillies fan caught in 4K dancing all over Mets fan during monster 7th inning
You couldn’t have scripted it better for the Philadelphia Phillies last night in South Philly. The Fightins officially returned to the 2025 MLB season and in the process, snatched first place from the New York Mets with a dominant 10-2 win at The Bank.
With the win, the Phillies are now in sole possession of first place in the National League East and we still have two more games on national TV before the weekend is over.
After sitting quietly for six innings, the offense exploded with a six-run frame to blow past the Mets, 10-2, in front of a fired-up crowd at Citizens Bank Park. Bryson Stott delivered the big blow with a bases-clearing triple and The Fightins never looked back.

Obviously, the Camera angle cutting off where you can’t really understand what’s happening right beneath it makes the video. At first, I thought this man was grinding on his friend and we had a repeat of what we saw up in Queens (fitting) last week.
That would have been bad, given the fact that the Mets haven’t won a game since this happened.
Mets are 0-7 since this happened at Citi Field. Facts are facts.
Anyways, it looks like our Phillies fan was just doing a lil’ dance. It had some STANK on it and it was right in the face of a bunch of weasel Mets fans who thankfully, were having a MISERABLE time last night watching baseball.
Lets rewind real quick: It all started in the 7th inning where we found ourselves in a 2-2 game and both teams had their relievers in.
Brandon Marsh, who is been on FIRE lately, laces his third hit of the night, a double off Reed Garrett. Then Trea Turner poked one out into no man’s land to give the Phillies the lead.
Take a scroll through this one – you don’t wanna miss it
Juan Slo-Mo and his Lazy Arm Costs the Mets Again
Kyle Schwarber works a walk. Alec Bohm steps in and shoots one into right for another run. Juan Slomo lollygags the throw back in, and Schwarber, of all people, goes first to third. You can’t teach hustle, and apparently, you can’t force Soto to care about fundamentals either.
Then, Nick Castellanos, who’s slowly coming back to life, hits a jam-shot single to center. 5–2, Phillies. The Mets are unraveling. And Max Kepler? Just a footnote with a fly out.
Bryson Stott Clears the Bases… Somehow
Realmuto draws a walk. Bases juiced. Bryson Stott steps in and clears the deck with a double that scores three and honestly, I’ve never seen a play like that at home plate before. The double “safe” call from the ump. Mets defense in shambles. It was like I died and went to heaven.
Just when you think the rally’s over, Nick Castellanos steps back up later and says not so fast, my friend. Casty sent one to center field to completely slam the door on the Mets, as the Phillies go on to win this game 10-2.
You can kiss the Topper-Casty situation goodbye. It’s over. The team is juiced. We are in first place. The Phillies are in perfect position to ride this momentum to a series sweep and a season defining weekend against their division rivals.
You can’t win the pennant in June, but you can definitely lose it. The Phillies are on the right side currently going 8-2 over their last 10 games, while the Mets have lost 7-straight.
The Phillies send young stud Mick Abel (2-0, 2.21 ERA) to the mound Saturday night against the Mets’ Griffin Canning (6-3, 3.80 ERA). If Abel keeps dealing and the bats stay awake, The Fightins might just sweep their way into a little mid-June momentum.
