Brittany Mahomes just got a visit from an Eagle — And it’s a bad omen for Kansas City

Brittany Mahomes can’t escape the Eagles — literally. On Wednesday, she posted a photo to Instagram of a bald eagle perched right outside her front door. And while she might’ve played it off with a smile and a few jokes, we know exactly what that bird was doing: scouting the property.

This wasn’t just any eagle. This was a Philly omen.

It’s been five months since Super Bowl LIX, where the Philadelphia Eagles delivered a 40-22 beatdown to Brittany Mahomes’ husband, Patrick, and the Kansas City Chiefs. That game ended with a Cooper DeJean pick-six and an entire defensive masterclass that left Mahomes scrambling and the Chiefs looking shell-shocked. And now, in what can only be described as divine symbolism, an eagle shows up at their house? No shot this is just a coincidence.

According to Brittany Mahomes’ own words, the eagle “made himself right at home.” Fitting, considering that’s exactly what the Eagles did in New Orleans during the Super Bowl. She even asked if she could train it to “attack on command” — as if that bird wasn’t already doing psychological warfare on behalf of the entire NFC East.

The timing couldn’t be more perfect. The Chiefs are heading into the 2025 season with a few weapons returning on offense, but they’re also heading into a league that just watched Philly retool and reload. The NFC runs through South Philly now, and no amount of Instagram stories can shake that reality.

The Eagle Is a Message — And Brittany Mahomes Should Take It Seriously

Let’s call it what it is: a warning. You can laugh off the visit. You can caption it with “Hey dude, what’s up?” But deep down, you know what it means. The Eagles are not done haunting Kansas City. And now that Brittany Mahomes is officially on the radar? The whole Mahomes household is on notice.

Enjoy the offseason. The eagle might’ve flown away for now, but come playoff time, the real birds will be back. And they won’t just be on the porch. They’ll be in your face, again, with another shot at a championship.
