No Surprise Here: Eagles’ offensive line tops PFF’s positional rankings

The Eagles are heading into the 2025 season with the same mentality that carried them to a Super Bowl title last year: dominate up front and let everything else fall into place.

According to Pro Football Focus, Philadelphia will once again enter the year with the best offensive line in the NFL. It’s not exactly breaking news for anyone who’s been watching this team steamroll opponents, but it’s a reminder of what makes the Eagles so dangerous: they win in the trenches.

Eagles’ Front Five: Still the Gold Standard

PFF analyst Zoltán Buday didn’t mince words. He crowned the Eagles as the league’s No. 1 offensive line, led by the top tackle duo in football. Jordan Mailata posted a league-best 95.2 PFF grade in 2024, while Lane Johnson came in fifth with an 88.9. That kind of bookend protection is rare, and borderline unfair when you pair it with the talent behind them.

Yes, Mekhi Becton’s departure leaves a gap on the interior, but no team in the league is better positioned to handle it. Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens return, and the front office didn’t hesitate to add reinforcements. Philly traded C.J. Gardner-Johnson to bring in former first-rounder Kenyon Green and drafted Drew Kendall, Myles Hinton, and Cameron Williams to stack the depth chart.

Eagles Built to Repeat

This isn’t just about individual grades or flashy names. The Eagles’ offensive line is the foundation of everything they do. It’s why they control the clock, wear defenses down, and keep their quarterback clean. With the unit largely intact and reinforced with fresh talent, there’s no reason to think Philly won’t be right back in the mix come January.

PFF may have delivered the ranking, but Eagles fans already knew. The road to another title runs right through the guys up front — and no one’s built for it like Philly.
