AI Slop: Jalen Hurts is the star of fake flood rescues and people are falling for it

Jalen Hurts did not donate money to the Texas flood relief or fly to Texas to carry children out of the water. For one reason or another, this fake story is floating around social media and it seems to be powered by the bane of human existence — AI.

I first noticed this a week ago whilst doom scrolling. I, a normal person with an above average IQ, immediately saw through the nonsense and just kept going deeper into the abyss of my Twitter feed. Fast forward to today, I open up Facebook and see this:

Jalen Hurts was apparently in Texas carrying children out of the flood water

This post only got 14 shares, but that’s 14 shares too many in my book.

Do people actually think this is real? Do they really think Jalen Hurts flew down to Texas, jumped into the flood water, put a little girl on his back, and carried her to safety? Evidently, some do.

This didn’t sit well with me. I just couldn’t wrap my head around people falling for this. So, I went to the original Facebook page that posted this and started going through their posts. According to this guy (or bot, more on that later), Jalen Hurts wasn’t the only Eagle to lend a hand to victims. Saquon Barkley, “drove six hours straight with a pickup truck loaded with diapers, medicine, and baby formula.”

He even wore his old Giants gear. To be fair, he can afford to ruin his Giants t-shirts and jerseys. Since, you know, he’s on the Eagles now.

Saquon also sent six helicopters down there, full of supplies for the victims of these brutal floods.

Those two posts got a combined 14 shares and almost 100 likes. Again, what the fuck are people liking and sharing this for? If they’re doing it just to fuck with their family members on Facebook, I actually respect that. But by the looks of the comments on all of these, people are drinking the Kool-Aid. There’s someone out there who actually thinks Saquon Barkley sent helicopters down to Texas to help with flood relief.

I implore all of you to go to this Facebook page and go through their posts. It’s hilarious stuff. But I gotta say, the amount of people following this page (8.9K) and actively engaging with their content is a bit alarming.

From all accounts, this isn’t a real page. It’s a bot sharing AI generated slop designed to get engagement from retards on Facebook. In that sense, they’re succeeding. So much so that the first Jalen Hurts post in this blog actually landed on my timeline. That part is telling — and probably a preview of where social media is headed. AI bots sharing AI content. Sounds like Hell on Earth.

I’m not smart enough to share some profound statement on what this all means. I’m just along for the ride, baby.

Anyways, Jalen Hurts wasn’t in Texas saving children over the weekend, nor did he donate any money to the relief cause. If you fell for it… It’s time to go outside, pal. Put the phone down and I don’t know, read a book or something.
