Saquon Barkley says if he could redo his career, he’d take his entire salary in Bitcoin
Stumbled across this Saquon Barkley interview clip from the Boardroom where he was talking about how if he had the opportunity, he would redo his career and take his entire contract in Bitcoin.
Not sure if this has to do with the fact that Saquon is actually a Crypto Guy or it’s just an organic ad for Coinbase, which apparently sponsors the Boardroom but either way, it was pretty interesting.

I can’t say I know much about Bitcoin and all the cryptocurrency stuff. I do know that people who cashed in early on Bitcoin made a shit ton of money while other guys like the one below ended up making big mistakes.
In 2010, a man paid for a pizza with 10,000 Bitcoin.
When I got in on DOGE Coin very early-on, I made a decent amount of cash on that but since then, I’ve been in the dark. Once I had to open different wallets and start doing all different types of stuff, I was out. That’s on me.
I do know that one bitcoin is currently worth $118,484.50 USD, so Saquon Barkley saying that he would have rather gotten paid in that, where the market has only gotten better over the past five years, makes perfect sense.
Penn State University is no where close to West Virginia University in terms of education, but it appears that Saquon did learn something during his time in Happy Valley.
Look at me, talking finance and the markets like I work on Wall Street.
Incredible. If I’m being honest, I have zero clue about math-related things or finances. I was always more of a history and writing type of guy but either way, having your NFL salary paid in Bitcoin seems like it could be wildly beneficial given the current market price.
You could always risk it completely tanking but endorsements alone probably keep Saquon Barkley living a comfortable life, ya know?
Anyways, check out this chart. All I see is green and the price of Bitcoin on the rise.
