NJ Little League player reinstated from ridiculous bat flip suspension, team gets blown out anyway

Haddonfield Little League player Marco Rocco was rightly reinstated following his suspension from the playoffs after an electric bat flip. Unfortunately for him and his team, the winning stopped in the courtroom, and the team ended up getting ran off the field via mercy rule.

Little League’s hypocrisy was on full display in court, but Haddonfield got rocked big time by Elmora.

Well, that didn’t go the way I’d hoped. Yeah, justice was served for my guy Rocco, but his team getting mercy ruled in the semi-final was not the triumphant ending I expected.

Fortunately for Haddonfield, this is a double-elimination tournament. I have no doubt the legal drama that unfolded hung over the entire team like a cloud, not just Rocco.

This hard reset could be exactly what the team needs. Personally, I think the storyline of “player suspended for ridiculous reason, gets reinstated, and bounces back from a mercy rule loss to win it all” is the most intriguing and entertaining option on offer here.

Now, I could be wrong. I’m not exactly tapped into the NJ Little League scene, so if there’s another more compelling team left standing, please let me know and I will adjust my opinion if I deem it necessary.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
