Aaron Boone Eagles Chants Yankee Stadium

WATCH: Aaron Boone says Eagles chants at Yankee Stadium made him want to vomit

During a recent appearance on Talkin’ Yanks, Yankees manager Aaron Boone admitted that hearing Eagles chants at Yankee Stadium last weekend as the Phillies took 2-of-3 from the Yankees made him physically ill.

Aaron Boone said EAGLES chants in the Bronx made him want to vomit

Aaron Boone, of course, is an Eagles fan himself. He grew up in the Philly suburbs while his dad was playing for the Phillies in the late ’70s and early ’80s. You’d think he’d appreciate a little Birds love breaking out in the Bronx.

Nope. The pinstripes have poisoned him.

To be fair, it’s a little gross that a lifelong Eagles fan ever agreed to manage the Yankees in the first place, but we all make compromises in life. Still, you’d think a guy from the 215 would welcome a taste of home, especially when the alternative is some dead-silent, half-asleep “Let’s go Yanks” clap pattern while half the crowd is still in line for garlic fries.

Honestly, Aaron Boone should be thanking Eagles fans. It’s not like the locals are ever gonna belt out a Jets or Giants chant with any actual conviction. So if a Birds chant breaks out at Yankee Stadium, just ride with it and take the dub.

So I when I hear that Eagles chants at Yankee Stadium made Aaron Boone want to throw up, nothing makes me happier.

Yankees Fans were shocked…lol

I would be foolish to ignore the fact that Phans of Philly had six busses up in the Bronx last weekend, bringing hundreds of Phillies faithful into enemy territory. I know I bring up Phans of Philly a ton on this website but when it’s clear as day that they are having a massive influence when our team’s are on the road, it’s really difficult not to.
