Phillies give newest addition Jhoan Duran the red carpet treatment at Citizens Bank Park
The Phillies officially welcomed flamethrower Jhoan Duran to Citizens Bank Park after acquiring him from the Minnesota Twins. The organization rolled out the red carpet for their newest reliever.
Jhoan Duran got a sneak peak at his new home and the Philly version of his signature flamethrower entrance:

Jhoan Duran has spider cleats. He said they called him Durantulla in Minnesota and he liked that. 🕷️@TarynNBCS has cool shoes too. pic.twitter.com/zhRbi4iwHo

Let me be clear, I am so excited to have Jhoan Duran in Philadelphia. He literally throws the ball so fast. It’s fucking crazy. Plus the spiders on the cleats are sick.
Combine that with the fact that his flamethrower entrance is the best in baseball, and I couldn’t think of an acquisition better built for Red October. If you haven’t seen it yet, just imagine this in the top of the 9th inning in a closeout game.

Absolute chills.
Duran is exactly the addition the Phillies bullpen needed heading into the playoffs, especially with Jose Alvarado’s postseason suspension looming. The best part is, everyone in Philadelphia knows it.
Of course, Duran gear is flying off the shelves. We literally posted our newest Durantula tee and it’s selling like hotcakes. You better get yours before they’re all gone.
