AJ Brown shares hilarious reason why he didn’t commit to Georgia in College
If I told you AJ Brown didn’t commit to the University of Georgia to play college football due to the color of socks they wear, would you believe me?
Well, apparently that was exactly the reason why. AJ ended up playing for Ole Miss as we know, where he actually shared the field with D.K. Metcalf. And today a clip surfaced from the Pardon My Take Podcast where he shared this reality with the world.

Interesting. Something I’ve personally never thought about. While high school sports and some college intramural sports is where all my experience comes from admittedly, I never once thought about the color of my socks contributing towards my speed.
But, I was also never an elite, specimen of an athlete like AJ Brown. The furthest I ever went was switching from hightop basketball sneakers and football cleats to low tops for speed.

And while AJ mentions the black socks on black cleats looking sloppy compared to the white on white’s, I think there’s something to be said about feeling good in what you’re wearing. You’re kidding yourself if you don’t think that placebo effect does something for your performance.

I mean seriously, I don’t feel confident enough to approach the ladies when I’m out unless I feel good about the outfit I’m wearing.
It’s the harsh truth and honestly, makes me want to go off on the current state of dating in 2025 and how somehow the only way to communicate with females these days is over a dating app or phone and not in real life, but we’ll worry about my personal life another day. Good luck out there, fellas.
