Cam Jurgens secret to success? Training with bulls in the offseason
After Jason Kelce retired, the Eagles didn’t miss a step, thanks in large part to the rapid development of Cam Jurgens.
In his first year as the full-time starter at center, Jurgen started 16 games and earned a Pro Bowl nod. He’s already one of the best centers in the league. Jeff Stoutland probably played a huge role in that, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t recognize Jurgens’ offseason program — which includes practicing his pass pro sets against bulls.
Cam Jurgens will do anything to get better
This is what it’s all about. The Eagles offensive line is stacked with a bunch of huge country boys — exactly as it should be. Every good offensive line has at least one country boy on it. The Eagles have like four. Cam Jurgens, Landon Dickerson, Lane Johnson, and I’ll even throw Jordan Mailata in there too.
If you want to hone in on stopping bull rushers this season, there’s no better way to practice it than actually going against live bulls. Cam Jurgens gets that.
