Jalen Hurts reveals his evolution, opens up on Training Camp, and chemistry with teammates
Jalen Hurts isn’t just another quarterback in the NFL. The reigning Super Bowl MVP and Philadelphia Eagles QB1 finished his fifth training camp on Wednesday, and let’s just be honest: Hurts is on one helluva a trajectory.
Through his first four seasons here in Philadelphia, Hurts has racked up four postseason appearances, two NFC championships, and a Super Bowl LIX ring. His record as a starter? An eye-popping 52-23, including a .667 winning percentage in the playoffs against the league’s stiffest competition.
And he capped off this year’s training camp with a total statement.

Talk about ending training camp with a bang
Jalen Hurts was outstanding on Wednesday, ending the 2025 camp with maybe his best day of camp overall, throwing 4 touchdowns and not putting the ball in harms way a single time

This summer, the difference was noticeable. The Hurts stepping onto the NovaCare Complex field carried a level of confidence only a Lombardi Trophy can give.
“You chase a dream, and everybody’s dream is to [win the Super Bowl]. So once you know that you can, it brings a sense of assurance that you can,” Hurts said earlier this summer. “I’ve said before, it’s a matter of if I’ve done it before, why can’t I do it again?”
For Eagles fans, that statement isn’t just confidence—it’s a promise. The window for another championship is wide open, and Hurts knows exactly what it takes.
The Evolution of Jalen Hurts
Wednesday marked the final training camp practice of 2025, and Hurts reflected on how his approach has changed since his rookie season.
“My process has evolved on what I expect from training camp,” he told Eagles On SI. “Over the years, it has just become more and more about winning. I know that is a very broad thing, and it takes truly everyone. When it comes to having a new offensive play-caller, and offensive coordinator, you take all of those things into consideration.”

Hurts understands that every season brings new circumstances—new teammates, new coaches, and new challenges—and he adapts accordingly.

It was a cool look behind the scenes considering that we don’t often get the chance to see that side of Hurts.

“When you’re filling in voids into any position, you take all of those things into consideration,” Hurts said. “When you’re trying to build a new identity or establish something new, you take all of those things into consideration.”
No matter how training camp shifts, Hurts’ focus remains singular: winning.
“So I make it about the initiative KP [offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo] has in store, the initiative Coach [Nick] Sirianni has in store, and just try to push that and thrive amongst that,” he said. “I know when the season comes, it’s about finding ways to win. That’s something that I’ve embraced, and I think the team [as a whole] is trying to embrace more and more.”
It’s quite clear Hurts has taken on much more of a leadership role in this locker room which should do wonders for this Eagles team as they begin their quest to repeat.
