Mets fans are already mocking the Phillies for Alec Bohm’s “parabolic mic” complaint
It wasn’t long ago, but in case you forgot, the Phillies lost horrifically to the Mets after Alec Bohm caused a delay by complaining about a parabolic microphone that had been in its spot for the last eight years. The delay flipped the momentum into New York’s favor, and now New York fans are having a field day with it.
Alec Bohm and the Phillies gave Mets fans a totally unnecessary rallying cry heading into the final month of the season:
Mets fans are really having fun with the "parabolic mic" fiasco 😂 pic.twitter.com/cHYbqO0DbK

I understand that this is actually quite cringeworthy, but I cannot stand the fact that we gave those troglodytes something to rally behind in the division race. I understand that even with a loss tonight, the Fightins are still four games ahead, but this entire trip to New York has been so embarrassing.
These are the same jackasses that rallied behind Grimace and the Hawk Tuah Girl. Now they’ve got something else to latch onto. Even the broadcast is getting in on it. Absolutely despicable stuff.
Really great job, Alec. He’s had good – even great – stretches in Philly, but at this point, all I’ll remember him for is how soft he is. Bitching, moaning, and complaining, all while not producing consistently enough to merit even a fraction of the agita. Now he’s handed Mets fans a tool to mock him and his boys. Pathetic.
Also, just a side note, but I don’t understand how pretty much all New York fans look like the actual sewer rats they share their city with. Every single time they cut to some dumbass in the stands, he looks like he just crawled out of a storm drain to get to the game.
I’m not just saying this because of this instance; this is a well-documented take of mine over the years, dating back before I even started blogging. I know it doesn’t change the Phils’ fate in Queens this week, but it’s truly baffling.
