Ravens vs Eagles concession prices

Baltimore Ravens’ new low concessions prices put the Eagles to shame

The Baltimore Ravens unveiled a new value menu for gameday concessions and, let me tell you, it’s enough to make any opposing fan base jealous. The menu offers 11 items under $5, which is a stark contrast to my beloved Philadelphia Eagles, who just jacked up prices for the umpteenth time after a Super Bowl win.

The Ravens’ Flock Friendly Fare value menu is a sight for sore eyes:

Bruh. You’re telling me I can go to a football game and not have to liquidate my assets to get a beer and something to eat? I almost don’t believe it.

Like, seriously, this is the way things should be. Sure, I highly doubt the food is gourmet quality, but it shouldn’t be anyway. You’re getting food at a football game.

Meanwhile, if you’re going to the Linc for an Eagles game, you’re getting equally shitty food for over triple the price. There’s genuinely no reason for this.

I could probably get a roundtrip Amtrak ticket to Baltimore for a Ravens game, get a full meal and a few beers, and head home and still spend less than if I just parked at The Linc and got a bag of peanuts.

I didn’t run the numbers on that, but it feels right. Which, unfortunately, also feels very, very wrong.

Obviously I’m not going to start watching the Ravens to save money on concessions, but as a diehard Eagles fan, I can’t help but feel disrespected by the organization when I see other teams make the game day experience more accessible to everyone.

Going to any NFL game already costs an arm and a leg. God forbid fans want to have something to eat and drink while they’re in the building. That’s apparently a foreign concept to the Eagles top brass.

I get it, running a winning team costs money, but it sure as hell brings in a lot more than it costs. I can promise you that. I just don’t get why the most competent organization can’t seem to figure out how to put the fans first in literally any way.

Winning heals all wounds, but this is just one small part of a larger issue. We’ve had two parades in less than a decade, but the average fan is getting squeezed out of the equation even beyond game day.

Training camp access isn’t even close to what it used to be. Everything is for premium season ticket holders. Trust me, I’m on the list, but my number probably won’t get called until Super Bowl 100. My cyborg grandkids are going to be the ones reaping the benefits.

You may be thinking to yourself, “Wow, this guy really is spiraling over concession prices.” And you know what? You’re absolutely right.

We’re told all the time that we’re the best fans in the NFL, which is 100% true. But then I’m asked to pay damn near $20 for dogshit reheated Chickie’s & Pete’s cutlets and

How about we get some courtesy extended back to us? We’ll provide the best atmosphere in football no matter what, so the Eagles might as well hold up their end of the bargain.

But, of course, nothing will change. It’s not like Eagles fans are just going to stop attending games, especially not when the team is winning like this.

The organization has a band of rabid loyal fans and knows they can do whatever it wants. No matter what they do, Eagles fans will come out in droves and spend their hard earned money.

The rich get richer.
