Cowboys vs. Eagles: Props & Best Bets for Thursday Night Football

The NFL couldn’t have scripted it better. The Eagles are under the lights at The Linc tonight, hosting their biggest rival in the Dallas Cowboys to kick off the 2025 season.

Eagles vs. Cowboys Week 1 Preview: Birds open in South Philly against a lost Dallas Cowboys team

The Eagles are an 8-point home favorite, which tells you a lot.

Oddsmakers are expecting a comfortable Eagles win and that shapes the way we should attack the props board. Dallas is going to be chasing points and Jalen Hurts is going to do what Jalen Hurts does.

Here’s how we win on and off the field tonight, Eagles fans.

Dak Prescott Over 249.5 Passing Yards (-110)

If the Cowboys are going to keep this competitive, Dak is going to have to sling it. The Eagles’ defense isn’t the same unit that strangled passing games last year. They lost a ton of depth up front and with Dallas playing from behind, expect Prescott to be throwing all night. He topped 270 yards in his last three against Philly. That trend should continue.

Saquon Barkley Over 94.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

The Saquon era in Philly starts here, and the matchup couldn’t be juicier. Dallas had one of the league’s worst run defenses in 2024, finishing bottom three in EPA against the run and coughing up 137 yards a game on the ground. Barkley put up 95+ in 15 of 20 games last season, and he cooked this Cowboys defense for 167 yards the last time he saw them. Strap in.

Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown (-150)

The Tush Push is alive and well, and you know Nick Sirianni’s going to dial it up if the Birds sniff the goal line. Hurts scored 19 rushing touchdowns last year (regular season + playoffs), and Dallas gave up a league-high 10 rushing TDs to quarterbacks. Don’t overthink it. If the Eagles are near the stripe, Hurts is barreling in.

Bonus SGP (+550)

  • Hurts Anytime TD
  • Hurts 2+ Passing TDs
  • DeVonta Smith Anytime TD

With Trevon Diggs glued to A.J. Brown, Smitty is the sneaky value. He lit up Dallas for two touchdowns in Week 17 last year and added another score in the Super Bowl. Hurts can easily find him again if the Cowboys sell out to stop Brown.

Anytime Touchdown Dart Throw: Jalen Tolbert (+500)

With Jonathan Mingo sidelined, Tolbert slides into WR3 and will see softer coverage. He found the end zone seven times last season and remains one of Dak’s go-to guys in the red zone. If you’re looking for a Dallas sweat, this is the best shot.

Final Card

  • Prescott Over 249.5 Passing Yards (-110)
  • Barkley Over 94.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
  • Hurts Anytime Touchdown (-150)
  • Bonus SGP: Hurts TD + Hurts 2+ Passing TDs + Smith TD (+550)
  • Longshot: Jalen Tolbert Anytime TD (+500)

Philly’s too stacked, Dallas is too shaky, and Jalen Hurts is about to remind the league that the Eagles are still the team to beat.
