Jalen Hurts gets a reaction out of Michael Jordan after scoring a touchdown and hitting the shrug celly

There’s just levels to this shit, and Jalen Hurts proved that yet again last night. First play, Jalen Carter gets tossed for spitting on Dak Prescott—even though Dak spit first. That’s the best defensive player on the field, gone in seconds, and suddenly Dallas has a free lane to run the ball all night.

Any other quarterback would’ve cashed in on that gift. But not Dak. The guy who wears the star, the so-called leader of America’s Team, once again came up small when it mattered.

On the flip side, Jalen Hurts had every reason to fold. His defense just lost a monster in Carter, Adoree’ Jackson was getting targeted all the way down the field, and Dallas was moving the ball at ease. Saquon Barkley couldn’t get rolling, the receivers couldn’t separate, and everything around him screamed collapse. So what does Hurts do? He takes the game into his own hands. Methodical, surgical, ice in his veins—Hurts used his legs when needed and carved Dallas apart through the air, completing 19 of 23 passes. That’s what putting a team on your back looks like.

Oh, and did I mention Michael Jordan was in attendance?

The literal GOAT of sports came to the Linc to watch Jalen Hurts, the new face of the Jordan Brand. How cold is it, that Jalen Hurts hits Jordan’s signature shrug celly and appears to look up into the box Jordan was sitting in?

I’m sorry. My quarterback is cooler than yours. Oh, and he’s better too. Just add yet another win to the column. I’m so glad the entire world got to witness Hurts carry this team on a national stage yet again.

And the beautiful part is. This was the most Philadelphia Eagles game ever. Tough, gritty, not flashy. Just a product of winning culture.

That is why a banner was raised in that stadium just before the game.
