WATCH: Savannah Bananas roast ‘Phillies Karen’ in latest ballpark skit

It only took a couple of days for the Savannah Bananas to turn Phillies Karen, one of the dumbest fan incidents of the MLB season, into comedy gold.

Over the weekend, the Bananas decided to recreate the “Phillies Karen” meltdown that went viral during Friday’s Phillies-Marlins game in Miami.

If you somehow missed it, a woman lost her mind after a Harrison Bader home run ball ended up in another fan’s hands. The dad gave the ball to his son, the woman stormed over and demanded it, and after a weird exchange, the guy just gave her the ball.

The Internet took it from there, crowning her “Phillies Karen” after she capped the scene by flipping off the crowd.

The Bananas’ Version

During their two-game stop at Petco Park, the Bananas aired a skit on the big screen that was almost too perfect. A fan in a giant “Man-Nana” suit caught a ball, gave it to his “son” (another dude in a banana suit), and shared a heartfelt hug.

Enter The Grinch, who stormed in, demanded the ball, and walked away victorious while the “kid” looked crushed. The whole thing was met with boos, just like in Miami.

The video is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds and that’s what makes it flawless.

Real Life vs. Skit Life

Honestly, the Bananas didn’t even exaggerate much. The original scene in Miami played out just as bizarrely, right down to the crowd reaction.

The only difference is that the actual kid involved got the last laugh. Thanks to the Phillies and Marlins stepping in, he got a signed bat from Harrison Bader and a bag full of team gear. As for “Phillies Karen,” she got booed out of loanDepot Park.

Leave it to the Savannah Bananas to take a viral Philly story and turn it into ballpark theater in less than 48 hours. It’s funny, it’s weird, and it’s probably the last time you’ll see The Grinch steal a home run ball.

But hey, that’s still a better ending than the real incident.
