Clown Show: Frankie Luvu recounts his infamous attempts to stop the Tush Push in NFC Championship rout

The Commanders are set to take on the Packer on Thursday Night Football this week, so NFL Films sat down with linebacker Frankie Luvu heading into the matchup. When asked what people question him about the most, he shared that is his asinine attempts to stop the Eagles’ vaunted Tush Push in the NFC Championship Game.

Frankie Luvu tried to time the snap not once, but twice on a goal line stand, and had to be warned by the refs to knock it off:

It is admittedly hilarious that the Tush Push is so unstoppable that he had to do this until the refs basically said that if he does it again they’re just going to award the touchdown and keep it moving. I respect the hustle, but it wasn’t exactly a heady play.

For all of the crying about this playing being a safety concern – which was clearly fake since teams are running it this season – this acrobatic bullshit should be the real safety concern. He’s basically an unimpeded rusher flying into Jalen Hurts.

Considering this is the same guy that knocked Hurts out of a game with a concussion in the regular season, I find it hard to believe that Frankie Luvu was just trying to stop the play.

But I guess it doesn’t matter. Luvu and the defense gave up 55 points and went out sad in the NFCCG, while the Eagles crushed the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
