Jalen Hurts dropped a few quotes that explained everything after the Birds’ win at Arrowhead
While the entire internet cries about the Tush Push and pretends to breakdown tape from yesterday’s Eagles win at Arrowhead, it’s always better to just sit back and let Jalen Hurts handle everything.
All Things Eagles Right Here >>
Jalen Hurts doesn’t talk much, but when he does, we all know it ends up being an absolute banger. After the Eagles beat the Chiefs again in Arrowhead, QB1 dropped a few quotes that summed up the entire night, and honestly, the entire vibe of this Eagles team.
Jalen Hurts on DeVonta Smith:
I mean come on, that’s pure poetry.
Jalen Hurts let out a little laugh that told you he had this one cocked and loaded well before the mic got shoved in his face. You could almost see him scrolling through the script in his head, remembering exactly what he told himself on the sideline after that massive Smitty catch that set up the game-clinching tush push.
Clean and sharp, ending with the perfect closer by throwing it back to the media “what else could you ask for?”
The fact that Jalen Hurts didn’t oversell it was arguably even more impressive.
He almost went too far before pulling back and just letting it settle while everyone else was a few seconds behind, trying to catch up.
That’s a veteran QB1 (and possibly a robot) delivering the goods while the talking-heads and media crumble around him, obsessing over stats rather than winning football games.
Speaking of that, we’re onto quote number two from our cold-blooded poet.
Jalen Hurts: “The game isn’t won off of fireworks. It’s won off scoring more points than the other team”
Here in Philadelphia, I think everyone responded to that quote saying “yeah, no shit” but you’d be surprised what the fantasy team owners and social media analysts pull out of their ass every Victory Monday. For some reason, the Eagles can’t dominate a game, win on the road in Arrowhead by any means necessary, and get any type of credit for it.
Instead, you have these rats scurrying around looking to discredit by any means necessary. There are a MILLION examples of this right now flooding your timelines but I’ll leave with you dumbass Adam Schefter.
What’s the point of even saying something like this? No clue.
Don’t forget the Chris Jones fallout.
Chris Jones sounded like he had zero clue that he was actually playing in yesterday’s game while the Eagles were in victory formation. This is a guy that’s supposed to be the defensive leader on the Chiefs? My god… The Kingdom truly is burning.
Chris Jones was acting child so Jalen Hurts had to remind him…
I don’t even know how Chris Jones knew Hurts’ stats?
Talk about a lack of focus. What a dork… lol.
Picking apart Hurts’ box score instead of the final scoreboard. That’s all you need to know about where Kansas City’s head is at right now. The Eagles haven’t just beaten the Chiefs three straight times (two in Arrowhead, by the way), they’ve set fire to The Kingdom.
There’s never any credit for Hurts and the Eagles. We’re used to it by now and really, no one really gives a shit but it is truly bonkers that whenever Hurts is brought up in the media, all we get is whining about how unfair the Tush Push is as Fox rules analyst Dean Blandino folding on live TV saying, “I’m done with this play, guys, it’s too hard to officiate.”
Pathetic. And perfect.
This Eagles team has broken people’s brains. Nick Sirianni is out here launching challenge flags like he’s auditioning for a starting QB job. There’s a public rebellion against everyone not within Philadelphia and the rest of the football world is crying their pathetic eyes out because they can’t stop the Tush Push.
