Phillies add new Harrison “Bader Tots” to Citizens Bank Park menu

Phillies fans have been loving the on-field contributions of deadline acquisition Harrison Bader. So much so, in fact, the Fightins now offer a food item bearing his name at CBP.

Behold, the Bader Tots:

I’ll be honest, this is a match made in marketing heaven. Bader has been on fire since joining the Phillies, and Bader Tots is about as money as it gets for a food-based pun. And, from what I can see, they don’t look half bad.

Of course, the weirdos on social media have taken this and run with it. I’m not going to get into the whole Israel-Palestine situation in a blog about tater tots. Just know that if you’ve ever gone drinking with me, you know exactly where I stand.

He’s a Jewish guy who will be representing Israel at the WBC. He’s great, but he’s not good enough to play for Team USA. Why not seize that opportunity. Who even cares?

I do want to note that it is ironic that someone who’s been labeled a Zionist has a non-kosher food item named after me. As a gentile myself, that certainly won’t deter me from ordering it.

What will probably keep me from dialing one up is the price tag. I don’t know what it is yet, but I assume it will be too high.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
