The Philadelphia Eagles are every team’s Super Bowl. This week, the Los Angeles Rams are coming to town and based on everything they’ve said and their social team has posted, this is the biggest game of their lives. And they’re still going to lose, it’s hilarious.

I get it. The NFL is a league of storylines at the end of the day. The best story is usually what the media and fans talk about. It’s why everyone hates the Birds right now. They’re boring, they only run the Tush Push, blah blah blah. We don’t care. We just want wins by any means necessary.

Los Angeles needs this win. They want to feel some sort of gratification for keeping it close in the Divisional Round last year. For the Eagles, it’s just another game against another good opponent. They’ve been here a thousand times. The Rams are just starting to get their lick back and a win over Philly would solidify them as legit Super Bowl contenders.

The only issue is, football doesn’t give a shit about your storylines. Once the whistle blows and the game gets under way, all that shit gets thrown out the door. Execution and discipline wins football games. Not cute storylines for your fans.
